Pilot Officer Harold Channon

My late mother's father, H.C.Channon, trained on the No. 113 Course, Officers' School, presumably at RAF Uxbridge (where he was subsequently stationed), May 1942. See fourth from left on Front Row. I know nothing of his actual military service.  After the war he was involved in the development of television and radar.  He died long before I reached ten; I recollect an imposing, scary figure, who called my elder sister and I, "Fish & Chips".
